Our Story
Hello, thank you so much for exploring my new brand Textili Kaftans. I would love for you to get to know a little more about how we got here.
My name is Chantal and after many years of working in Fashion & developing products for a range of businesses I decided to take the leap & start Textili (which means woven in Latin). My love of kaftans has been brewing for years & it has been a very slow process but now I'm here!
I've always enjoyed bringing my clients' visions to life & working on Textili has been more fulfilling than I ever imagined. I love the design process & enjoy the daily banter with the artisans I work with. I am happiest when I have my pantone fan out selecting colours.
Since moving down the coast 10 years ago my style has changed & I love easy-to-wear, versatile clothing. I want to throw something on to head to the beach but be able to wear it out that evening too - either over jeans for a more casual look or dressed up with a belt. I've moved away from following trends & want a wardrobe full of pieces that will never date. I am a lover of all things embroidered, tie dyed, knitted, crocheted, hand loomed - basically anything made slowly & that's a little bit special.
